Perfect Pairs Blackjack is a really fun variation on traditional blackjack that adds an extra element to the gameplay. At first glance, it is exactly the same as normal blackjack. However, when you take a closer look, there is an additional betting option when playing Perfect Pairs Blackjack. The additional betting option allows you to place a wager on whether the first two cards you are dealt will be a pair.

There are three different types of pairs that you could be dealt in the first hand, with each one offering different odds. The rarer the pair, the better the odds. The first and rarest type is a perfect pair. A perfect pair will pay out with odds of 30 to 1. To land a perfect pair, your two cards need to be both the same value and the same suit. For example, two King of spades would be a perfect pair.

The second type of pair is a coloured pair. This is when the pair that you are dealt is the same colour and the same value but a different suit. So, a seven of hearts and a seven of diamonds would be a coloured pair. This pays out with odds of 12 to 1.

The final type of pair is a mixed pair. This is when the pair are the same value but a different colour and, therefore, a different suit. So, a six of hearts and a six of clubs would be a mixed pair. This pays out with odds of 5 to 1.

When playing Perfect Pair Blackjack, you do not have to place a wager on whether you’ll be dealt a pair if you do not want to. However, you always will have to place a wager on the standard game. Otherwise, you will not be in the game to be dealt a hand in the first place.
